1. About Scout

Scout is a desktop software application designed as a personal productivity tool. It helps users discover and study short-form video clips and identify moments, hooks, patterns, and formats that may be useful for their own creative work.

Scout is operated by Atlantis Services.

2. Your License

When you purchase Scout, you receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the software for your own personal purposes, subject to these Terms.

The purchase of Scout gives you a license to use the software. It does not transfer ownership of the software, source code, trademarks, designs, or other intellectual property to you.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Scout lawfully and responsibly. You must not:

  • reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of Scout, except where applicable law expressly permits it;
  • copy, redistribute, resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit your personal license;
  • circumvent or interfere with license verification, security features, or technical restrictions;
  • use Scout in a way that violates applicable law or the rights of other people.

4. Third-Party Content

Scout may help you discover or work with content originating from third-party platforms and services. That content is not owned or controlled by Atlantis Services.

You are responsible for complying with the terms, licenses, copyright rules, and other requirements that apply to any third-party content you access, download, reproduce, edit, publish, or otherwise use.

5. Intellectual Property

Scout and its original software, interface, branding, visual design, text, and other materials are owned by or licensed to Atlantis Services and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

These Terms do not grant you ownership of any of that intellectual property.

6. Availability and Updates

We may modify, update, improve, suspend, or discontinue parts of Scout at any time. We do not guarantee that every feature will always remain available or that the software will always operate without interruption or errors.

7. Disclaimer

Scout is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.

We do not guarantee that Scout will identify every relevant clip, accurately predict engagement, or produce any particular creative, business, or financial result. Any insights, rankings, or recommendations provided by Scout are intended as informational tools and should not be treated as guarantees of performance.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Atlantis Services will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of Scout.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to Scout if you materially breach these Terms, including by abusing or attempting to circumvent the licensing system.

If your license is terminated because of your breach, you must stop using the software and delete any copies in your possession.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we may update the effective date shown at the top of this page. Your continued use of Scout after an updated version becomes effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms, to the extent permitted by law.
